Bro Benigno Castro Inaugural AddressBro Benigno Castro Inaugural Address

Tonight, we celebrate a new chapter in the history of APO ACNA. I am grateful for the opportunity to be at your service. As your President-Elect for 2009-2010, I promise to uphold the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service, upon which our organization is established. As we embark on a new journey, I enjoin you to be partners in propagating peace and prosperity in our spheres of influence. I ask you to extend once again your usual and invaluable support and cooperation to me and to the new Executive Officers and Board of Directors.

The New Year provides us numerous opportunities and challenges for making a difference not only in our local community, but here in North America and abroad. Our organization is always confronted with the need for help. No doubt, we will continue to be a strong force to spread the spirit of love, service and brotherhood through our unselfish, untiring dedication and commitment.

For the next two years, we are confident that we can make a difference and provide the leadership that is required of us. The tasks ahead may seem insurmountable, but I believe, with us working together, we can.We will continue to do our share of bringing goodwill and benevolent programs both here and abroad. Among the programs for the next two years are:

1. Continue the current programs of APO ACNA including review of CBL and its amendments;
2. Maintain the yearly support to SAPOC (Samahang APO ng Cainta Learning Center);

3. Conduct the biennial Medical, Dental and Humanitarian Mission in the Philippines. For the next year, the program will be held at Tondo, Manila on May 23, 2009 in collaboration with SAPOT (Samahang APO ng Tondo);

4. Develop a plan for integrated rituals for all unritualized Brothers and Sisters in North America;

5. Create activities to raise funds to support emergency relief and disaster programs;

6. Promote and organize programs to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and camaraderie among alumni associations through camping, jamborees, and community and nationwide projects.

Our organization has contributed much to the progress of our communities. You have always been vigilant and strong contributors in propagating the ideals we have always embraced. Thank you and I commend you all for your willingness to be partners in progress. May We Always Be!

Fraternally Yours,
Bro Benigno "Ben" J. Castro
President 2009-2010
